Start Your Child’s Inspiring Journey at Our School: Strive, Learn and Serve
At The Wingate School (TWS), we support pupils from kindergarten through to high school in becoming the best version of themselves through a holistic, values-based British international education. We are committed to shaping well-rounded, ethical future leaders who can positively impact society and achieve lifelong success.
As an international school, we accept applications year-round, subject to space availability. Whether you are applying from within Mexico or abroad, we are here to guide you through the admissions process and answer any questions along the way. We recommend applying ten months in advance, particularly as certain year groups may have waiting lists or limited places available. If you are considering mid-year entry, please contact our Admissions Office to confirm availability.

Parent Interview & Student Evaluation
The evaluation process varies depending on your child’s grade level and includes an interview with both parents and a student assessment. For families residing outside Mexico City, the evaluation can be conducted online.
An application fee is required on the day of the evaluation to complete the process.
- Applications for Kindergarten (UK Nursery, Reception and Year 1): The evaluation lasts approximately one hour. During this time, our school psychologist assesses key areas of your child’s development, including language, communication, motor skills, and social-emotional growth. While your child is being evaluated, another member of the admissions team conducts an interview with the parents to gain further insights into the child’s background.
- Applications for Primary (UK Year 2) and above: Students are asked to spend a full day at TWS. In addition to a developmental assessment, they will sit an academic exam appropriate for their grade level. Throughout the day, teachers will observe and provide feedback to create a comprehensive evaluation report.
- Applications for UK Year 8 and above: Students will be asked to complete an online CAT4 test prior to their evaluation date at school.
5
Receive an Offer & Enrolment
Once the evaluation results are available, we will contact you with the outcome. If your child is accepted, we will guide you through the next steps for registration. Please note that, in line with our admissions policy, we are unable to provide feedback on individual evaluations.
Upon receiving an offer, you will have seven days to complete the enrolment process. This includes submitting any remaining documents and paying the required fees.
Congratulations, your child is now a student at The Wingate School!
